Can you run, walk or cycle the Dominic distance?
2022 is the 60th anniversary of Operation Dominic, a joint US/UK operation on Christmas Island in 1962. Eric Barton was present at the tests, as well as Alan Owen's father 'Jessie', who witnessed 24 detonations in 78 days.
You can help us raise awareness and funds to continue the fight for truth and justice by walking, running, or cycling 120K in the 78-day window receiving a unique medal for your achievement.
The detonations took place on Christmas Island between 25th April 1962 and 11th July 1962. (Other detonations took place, but these were on Johnston Island, 580 miles from Christmas Island, and in the Pacific Ocean off California).
In December 2021, US President Joe Biden awarded the US participants a medal for their service. The UK Government refuses to formally recognise the UK participants of nuclear testing. By undertaking this challenge you can help us raise funds and awareness.
If you feel that you are able to run, walk or cycle 120K in 78 days (this can be done at any time over the 78-day window between 25th April and 11th July 2022) then you can sign up with Medal Mad who are running the event for us.
Sign-up costs £20.00 of which approximately £10 profit will go to LABRATS International, to enable us to continue to raise awareness of the worldwide nuclear testing program and its effects across the world. You receive a unique medal that will never be reproduced once the event has ended.
Remember, you can walk, run or cycle the event at your own pace, you only need to evidence 120K in 78 days. (This is approximately 1.5K a day). You can backdate your miles to the 25th April and join now.

Mel, Amanda, and OJ are running 5K on each day of the testing program from 25th April until 11th July 2022. If you are unable to walk, run or cycle the 120K, you can sponsor them to do it for you.
As you can see, they have been very busy already completing 11 5K's each, if you can help, it would be very much appreciated.
Mel, Amanda, and OJ are raising funds to help transport costs for veterans and their families to attend the All Tests Reunion at Pontins, Sand Bay, Weston-Super-Mare in September 2022. This will help anyone who cannot attend to attend this special reunion.
