110 FREE PLACES FUNDED BY THE OFFICE FOR VETERANS AFFAIRS

The All Tests Reunion is held in September each year at Pontins, Sand Bay, Weston-Super-Mare.

The adult-only reunion brings together Veterans and their families for a week-long holiday. The organising committee provides entertainment for the whole week and provides an environment for old colleagues to get together and discuss their time at the tests.

2023 will take place from 18th-22nd September 2023. The event costs from £89 per person which includes breakfast and an evening meal. We have received funding for the event to cover the £89 fee, so book now to enjoy a free holiday! All current bookings will be converted to free places and refunds issued.

The event is a fantastic opportunity to meet up with other Nuclear Veterans and to relive the loneliness we have all had to endure during the pandemic. We look forward to seeing you all in September 2023. If you reserve your place, a Facebook group has been created which will provide updates. Join by clicking here.

Booking is simple, call 0203 286 3988 or email media@labrats.international.

Memorial Bench

In 2021, we unveiled a bench in memory of Sandie Hern and Jim Copper. This year we added a plaque to the bench in memory of our founder's dad, James Ronald Owen. This plaque was originally meant for the National Memorial Arboretum but unfortunately, permission was denied from the trustees of the memorial to add it, despite many others being added.

It now has pride of place on the bench at Weston.

With the help of our Volunteers, we raised £1396 for next year's event. An amazing total. Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund for funding the accommodation this year and for the Veterans Foundation for funding the entertainment and trip to the Tank Museum.

Special thanks to Sue Long, Marion Baker and their families for the cakes. Janet Barton for selling her handmade goods. Laura Jackson for providing the raffle tickets and Quiz trophy. SJ and Jason Evans for providing the teak oil for Sandie & Jim's bench and adding the second coat after Mel, Laura and Joseph had added the first coat.

For everyone who provided a raffle prize, purchased a ticket and donated, we thank you. So many memories were made and we look forward to 2023.
